"DAMN I NEED BABY BOTTLES!!!"
Even though I'm going to breastfeed, I can't very well take mini to class with me, so she will have to get bottle during the 3 hours I'm gone. How I can forget bottles is beyond me. Even more important: Why did we throw away the boy's bottles to begin with?
I have an answer to that that's actually quite simple--lazy. Whenever DH and I move (which has been a lot over the last 3 years) instead of packing up the important stuff that we know we will need at some point, we throw it away because it's one less box to carry.
Here's an example:
Move #1: GA to NC
-->threw away all of our dishes, pots, and pans (everything but my very nice plates and bowls that I refuse to get rid of)
Move #2: NC family home to our own home in NC
-->bathroom essentials, curtains drapes
Move #3: NC to SC
-->basically everything in the bathroom (with the exception of the trashcan we got as a wedding gift. And yes we got a trashcan as a wedding gift).
--->pretty much the entire kitchen
-->entire laundry room
--> and anything that I couldn't see a use for right then and there.
So now here we are, 6 months into our rental, 8 weeks away from baby #2 and we don't have the baby basics. Diaper Genie: trashed. Bottle warmer: trashed. Bottles: trashed. The only things we kept (that I was adamant about giving to Goodwill or selling at Once Upon A Child, but was always too lazy to go) were the stroller/car seat combo and the playpen.
Even though we will be moving once our lease is up, I am making it up in my mind now to pack early and keep everything. I really hate having to buy the same things over again. It's just no fun.
So here I am standing in the middle of floor in mini-me's room. Looking, looking, looking, looking. And what do I see? Oh nothing. (We haven't bought any baby clothes either).
Does that make us slack or what? There is a reason behind that--and I will put that in another post.
Happy Wednesday....
