Why dinosaurs make for interesting conversation.

I've been toying with several themed ideas for the boys room and it's between dinosaurs and pirates. He loves both--but I think he's starting to lean towards the dinosaurs a little more. I think I have the only 2 year old in the world who will correct you on the proper pronunciation of a dinosaurs name and let you know exactly what they eat and how they walk. I'm a proud proud mama.

Since I've been looking for paint colors to paint the furniture in his room--I'm leaning more towards the Benjamin Moore brand of paint. I've heard nothing but great things about this brand so I think this may be my next endeavor.

As most of you know, we rent--so I can't actually paint the walls in any of the rooms--not that I really want to either. Painting walls is an agonizing job and something I just don't want to devote my weekend to doing. I figure painting furniture is the next best thing. The boy's room is already blue--so I figure greens, grey's and yellow's (maybe even orange) will go with that shade of blue and the next place we live (hopefully our own slice of real estate).

Option #1

  Benjamin Moore blueberry 2063-30

Benjamin Moore blue springs 1592

Sweet Innocence 2125-50

Option #2

Benjamin Moore traffic light green 2032-20

Benjamin Moore soot 2129-20

Benjamin Moore light breeze 512

I figure since these will be furniture colors--I didn't want to make them too bold. Yes he's a toddler and I know he wouldn't particularly care right now--but as he got older, I wanted it to be colors he could still be proud of. I love both of the palettes a lot so this will be a bit of a daunting task to see which one I go with. I don't plan on starting his room completely until October (hoping to be done by his birthday as a present). So I have some time to play around with colors and see what I like best!
